  • The total investment required to open and begin operating a Hummus Mediterranean Cafe franchise ranges from $410,150 and $994,500.

  • Our Initial Franchise Fee is $34,900. However, we offer a 10% discount on the Initial Franchise Fee for the first five Hummus Mediterranean Cafe Franchise Partners. In addition, we offer a 10% discount on the Initial Franchise Fee for the first franchise to open in a new state.   • Our Royalty Fee is 5% of weekly gross sales. We do not currently charge an advertising fee, but we reserve the right to charge a fee of up to 2% of monthly gross sales in the future.

  • Franchisees must spend the greater of 3% of their monthly gross revenues or $3,000 per month for local advertising and marketing that we and our approved supplier conduct on their behalf.

  • We do not offer direct financing. However, we can provide you referrals to franchise funding companies that specialize in franchising. The franchise funding companies offer SBA loans, retirement fund (IRA/401K) rollover programs, and other types of financing.

  • Yes, provided your partner owns at least 50% of your franchise business.

  • Franchisees are permitted to hire a general manager to manage the daily operation. However, Franchise Owners are ultimately responsible for overseeing their franchise business.

  • The typical length of time between the signing of the Franchise Agreement and the opening of the franchise business can vary from 8 to 10 months. The factors that affect this period usually includes the time needed to select a location for your franchise business, negotiate a lease, arrange for financing, construct your location, hire employees, and complete initial training.

  • Hummus Mediterranean Cafe restaurants are typically operated from strip centers, open air shopping malls, free-standing buildings, and out-parcel buildings. The size of the space should be approximately 2,000-4,000 square feet.

  • Our corporate-affiliated locations are open from 11:00 a.m.–9:00 p.m. Sunday through Thursday and 11:00 a.m.–10:00 p.m. Friday and Saturday. Franchisees may request that we permit them to open earlier or close later based on their market.

  • Yes. The Development Fee to open three Hummus Mediterranean Cafe franchises is $90,000 and the Development Fee to open five Hummus Mediterranean Cafe franchises is $120,000.  The Area Development Fee is paid in lieu of the Initial Franchise Fees.

  • Yes. We believe a Franchise Discovery Day is a very important step in our franchise process. A Discovery Day provides the opportunity for you to experience Hummus Mediterranean Cafe first-hand and learn about a “day-in-the-life” of a Hummus Mediterranean Cafe Franchise Partner. We will also share a robust sampling of our menu items so you can experience our amazing Mediterranean food. Discovery Days typically run approximately 7 hours.

  • The Federal Trade Commission’s Franchise Rule permits franchise companies to make “financial performance representations” (FPRs) in Item 19 of the FDD. We believe it is extremely important to do so as it helps prospective franchisees understand the financial aspects of a Hummus Mediterranean Cafe franchise business.
